President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a Decree to establish a State Organizational Committee for the high-level organization of events marking the designation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, the TDH news agency reported.

The decree was signed to implement the United Nations General Assembly Resolution "2025 International Year of Peace and Trust," unanimously adopted by UN member states on Turkmenistan’s initiative on March 21, 2024. It also aims to celebrate a milestone in the history of modern Turkmenistan – the 30th anniversary of its neutrality – and to ensure the successful hosting of major international forums, conferences, meetings, celebrations, and events throughout the year. These will be organized in partnership with Turkmenistan's reliable and constructive international partners, including foreign countries and international organizations.
