The Law on "Space Activities" was discussed in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, the Law on "Space Activities" was discussed during a plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, marking an important step in regulating the country's space sector, as reported by the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan.

The law defines key concepts and principles of space activities, as well as the objectives and directions of the state's policy in this field. It outlines the powers of various government bodies, including the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Digital Technologies, as well as their subordinate institutions, such as the Agency for Space Research and Technology.

The law covers a wide range of issues, including scientific space exploration, remote sensing of the Earth, space monitoring, and communication systems. It also addresses the security of space infrastructure, the disposal of space objects, and international cooperation. The adoption of this law will establish a legal framework for space activities in Uzbekistan, which, in turn, will contribute to the development of technologies and the attraction of investments in this strategically important area.
