The Belarusian Foreign Ministry Confirmed Readiness to Intensify Partnership with Turkmenistan

On October 14, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Nazarguly Shagulyev met with Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Utyupin at the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Among the wide range of issues discussed (including political dialogue, trade and economic ties, and humanitarian cooperation), preparations for the upcoming major international event in Ashgabat were a separate topic.

Ambassador Shagulyev emphasized that, in connection with the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, the central event of the year will be the high-profile Peace and Trust Forum, which will be held in Ashgabat on December 12 in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. The parties discussed preparations for and participation of Belarus in this event.

The diplomats also reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening their bilateral partnership. They noted the importance of holding regular consultations between their foreign ministers and strengthening multifaceted cooperation, particularly in trade and economic matters.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their mutual readiness to further deepen their constructive dialogue, which fully meets the shared interests of both countries within international organizations, including the UN.
