"Sounds of Dutar": a musical invitation ahead of new events of the Moscow festival

Ahead of the main autumn events of the IX International Arts Festival "Sounds of Dutar" in Moscow, a chamber concert will be held, which will create a kind of bridge between the events that have already taken place and the upcoming competitions. The meeting place for art lovers has been chosen to be the A.N. Scriabin Memorial Museum, where on September 21, works combining the classical tradition with ethnocultural motifs will be performed.

The concert, organized by the "Sounds of Dutar" Foundation, anticipates three major initiatives at once: The International Competition of Musicians-Performers, the International Competition of Reciters "Universe of the Word" and the International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Face of War in the Mirror of Art". The themes of the last two projects are not accidentally connected with memorable dates - the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The evening program, which will be presented by festival residents, laureates and jury members, reflects these important milestones. The audience will hear compositions written to the poems of Sergei Yesenin, works dedicated to military themes, as well as world premieres of songs from the war years. In addition, little-known pages from the legacy of Alexander Scriabin himself will be heard, which will give the evening a special chamber intonation.

One of the central events will be the presentation of the collection "Six Children's Pieces for Piano" by composer Mamed Guseynov, published in 2025. The album, inspired by the rich folklore of the East, is decorated with paintings by famous Turkmen artist Kossekmurad Nurmuradov. Musical works from the collection will be performed by pianist Maria Buyanova, winner of the Grand Prix of the "Sounds of Dutar" festival.

The concert prelude at the Scriabin Museum will be a kind of culmination, ending the summer and opening autumn stages of the festival. The ninth season of the Sounds of Dutar began in April in Moscow with the concert "Turkmen Nightingale", and on August 15, the Russian-Turkmen concert "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood" took place with great success in the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, uniting musicians from both countries.

The Sounds of Dutar festival continues its mission, creating a space for dialogue between cultures and strengthening humanitarian ties through art.
