Futuristic technology at the SCO summit: China showcases robots in Tianjin

During the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the Chinese city of Tianjin, attendees and journalists were given a demonstration of modern robotics. The event, the largest in SCO history, brought together over 20 world leaders and more than 3,000 media representatives. Several robots were at work in the summit's press center. In the hot weather, the ice cream robot Mr. Doue’r efficiently fulfilled orders, and a nimble delivery robot distributed bottled water.

In addition to these service roles, more specialized technologies were also showcased. A robotic arm demonstrated skillful calligraphy, and a drone housed in a lotus-shaped capsule showed how robots can be used for patrolling highways and power grids, as well as for detecting fires.

The use of robots at the SCO summit served as a vivid demonstration of China's strategy to introduce the global community to its latest technological innovations.
