Ashgabat Checked Diplomatic Agenda with Doha and Abu Dhabi
15.08.2025 | 21:40 |The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan is actively developing bilateral relations with the Middle East states. On August 15, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry hosted two high-level meetings aimed at strengthening partnership with Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar Hamad bin Rashid bin Hamad Al-Azbi, the parties discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda. The interlocutors highly appreciated the constructive nature of the interaction and confirmed their mutual interest in the further development of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.
On the same day, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held talks with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates Ahmed Al-Hay Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli.
The diplomats reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and outlined ways to further expand them, emphasizing the importance of regular political dialogue. At the end of the meeting, mutual interest in strengthening the Turkmen-Emirati partnership was expressed.
Both meetings on the same day became a clear confirmation of the multi-vector foreign policy of Turkmenistan and its desire to deepen friendly and mutually beneficial relations with key partners in the Arab world.
