Turkmenistan Security Council Meeting: Reports from Law Enforcement Agencies and Change of Deputy Prosecutor General
02.07.2025 | 22:05 |President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council on July 2. The meeting summed up the work of the country's military and law enforcement agencies for the first half of 2025, and discussed issues of ensuring security, strengthening the material and technical base and further improving their activities.
During the meeting, reports were heard from the heads of law enforcement agencies. Defense Minister Begench Gundogdyev reported on the implementation of the Armed Forces Development Program, the spring conscription campaign and service conditions. The President emphasized the importance of modernizing the Armed Forces in accordance with the defensive Military Doctrine and instructed to begin preparations for a military parade for the 34th anniversary of independence.
Prosecutor General Begmurat Mukhamedov reported on supervision of law enforcement, elimination of causes of offenses, implementation of digital systems and advanced training of employees.
Minister of Internal Affairs Mukhammed Khydyrov presented a report on maintaining public order, preventing road accidents and conducting fire safety briefings. The President instructed to strengthen control over fire safety in the summer.
Chairman of the Supreme Court Begench Khodjamgulyev reported on the digitalization of legal proceedings and increasing the professionalism of personnel.
The reports of Minister of National Security Nazar Atagarayev, head of the State Border Service Yazgeldi Nuryev, Minister of Justice Merettagan Taganov, Chairman of the State Customs Service Maksat Khudaykulyev and Chairman of the State Migration Service A. Sazakov were also heard. All reports concerned the results of work, modernization of the material and technical base, implementation of digital technologies and improvement of the activities of departments.
During the meeting, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a document on personnel changes in the Prosecutor General's Office: Junior Justice Advisor Mukhammetmyrat Sapargulyev was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan - Head of the Main Directorate. He was relieved of his post as Prosecutor of the Kopetdag Etrap of the city of Ashgabat. Justice Advisor Begench Gurbangulyev was relieved of his post as Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan - Head of the Main Directorate.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that work to maintain high military security, strengthen the country's defense capability and improve the social and living conditions of servicemen will be continued in accordance with the defensive Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan.
