Oriented on making people closer

On the occasion of World Poetry Day, Turkmen youth in Ukraine and diplomats of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kyiv held a cultural event – traditional readings of poems by outstanding personalities and classics.

This project is designed to draw attention to the poetic word – a source of knowledge and wisdom, a conductor of goodness and peace, which is especially relevant in the current “International Year of Peace and Trust”.

Turkmen students and diaspora in Ukraine and abroad, as well as Turkmen diplomats read the poetic works “Turkmenistan – Homeland of Peace and Trust” and "Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy", written by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. They were based on the principles of peace, neutrality and brotherhood of our independent country, initiatives implemented in the interests of general well-being, and enduring universal values.

The focus of the project is the reading of the poem by the outstanding classic, the Turkmen genius Magtymguly Fragi "The Land of the Turkmen" in different languages of the world. It’s a work in which the master was able to foresee the fate of his people and the prosperous future of his country.

About the dreams of Magtymguly that came true, the poem "The Land of the Turkmen" was read by the young educated generation of Turkmens in English, German, Ukrainian, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Romanian, Kazakh, Tajik and native languages.

With the cultural event its participants emphasized the importance of strengthening friendship, brotherhood and cultural dialogue between peoples, promoting the idea of peace and trust, which are the basis of the "Concept of Activities and Priorities of Turkmenistan within the Framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust".
