Chinese Robotic Lawn Mowers Strengthen Presence in Global Market
29.07.2025 | 09:20 |Chinese manufacturers of robotic lawn mowers are expanding their presence in overseas markets by offering high-tech solutions for smart yard maintenance. According to industry sources, exports of such products—particularly from brands like ECOVACS, Segway-Ninebot, Greenworks, and Daye—have seen a sharp increase since the beginning of the year.
These devices are in high demand across Europe, the U.S., and Australia, where suburban areas with low population density often feature homes with large yards.
Chinese-made robotic mowers can handle plots ranging from 200 to 4,000 square meters, navigate slopes and obstacles, and avoid flower beds and pools. In some countries, well-maintained lawns influence the market value of residential properties, supporting steady demand for such equipment.
Industry data suggests the global robotic lawn mower market could reach $4 billion by 2028. On e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Chinese models receive high ratings for their ease of installation and use, obstacle avoidance accuracy, and overall performance.
According to the company Safun, key components of robotization include precise positioning, object recognition, motion control, and route planning. China is also leading in the development of critical components such as LiDAR sensors, low-noise motors, and control algorithms.
A well-established cross-border e-commerce infrastructure—including platforms like AliExpress—helps Chinese manufacturers enter foreign markets more efficiently, drive innovation, and build strong brands.
Analysts note that the export of robotic equipment reflects a broader shift in Chinese industry toward more intelligent and high-tech manufacturing.
