Apple releases iOS and iPadOS 26 UI kit for developers
26.07.2025 | 17:30 |Apple has officially released the UI Kit for iOS and iPadOS 26, providing developers with new tools for application development. The interface element kits are now available for designers utilizing Figma and Sketch, popular interface design software.
This UI-Kit, a collection of user interface elements, comprises updated components developed in accordance with the new Liquid Glass design language. These include buttons, menus, dropdown lists, typography, and layouts. The kit also contains examples of the correct display of elements within the operating system interfaces. The latest version of SF Symbols, Apple's system icon library, is required to work with the UI Kit.
The primary purpose of this kit is to assist mobile application designers in adapting their project interfaces for the upcoming public release of iOS and iPadOS 26, scheduled for autumn 2025. It is anticipated that a new lineup of devices, including the iPhone 17, will be announced concurrently with the launch of the new operating systems.
Previously, in mid-July, Figma added native support for the glass effect, enabling designers to create Liquid Glass-style interfaces without the need for additional extensions.
