Oriented on making people closer

On February 11, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Foreign Minister Mahri Bashimova and Eva-Kulli Kala, Director of the European Department of the Department of Technical Cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

During the meeting, the parties discussed current and future joint projects, including those in the areas of modernizing the radiotherapy service and updating the legislative framework for radiation safety.

The Department of Technical Cooperation is Turkmenistan's main partner within the IAEA. In this context, the parties discussed the progress of the development of the IAEA Framework Program for Turkmenistan and the issues of attracting agency experts to the construction process of the International Scientific and Clinical Center for Oncology in Ashgabat.
