Xiaomi to release world's first Wi-Fi headphones

The Chinese company Xiaomi is preparing to release the world's first Wi-Fi headphones, named the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro.

The Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro support direct connection to smartphones not only via Bluetooth but also via Wi-Fi. This significantly improves sound quality by providing audio transmission with a resolution of up to 96 kHz/24 bit and a speed of up to 4.2 Mbps. Currently, this feature is only available for the flagship Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone.

This will also reduce energy consumption and increase connection stability.

The headphones are equipped with three drivers and support Snapdragon Sound technology, promising exceptional sound quality. Additionally, they feature hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) up to 55 dB and specialized equalizer profiles for customizing sound to user preferences. In the future, a microphone option will be available, capable of recording up to 4 hours of audio.

The battery life is up to 40 hours when using the charging case, and the headphones themselves can last up to 10 hours on a single charge. An audio recording and AI-powered simultaneous translation function is also provided.

The headphones are available in "Transparent Black".
