21.01.2025 | 09:50 |Professional development courses for English language teachers have commenced at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages as part of the British Council's Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia (AELLCA) project.
Fourteen English language instructors from the institute have begun undertaking TKT (Teaching Knowledge Assessment) courses under the guidance of an experienced instructor from Nottingham Trent University (UK), Ste Sharp.
The training will continue until mid-March.
The Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia (AELLCA) project aims to continuously improve teachers' foreign language teaching methodologies, classroom management skills, and language proficiency, taking into account students' contemporary learning needs.
Upon successful completion of the training, the teachers will receive a certificate from Nottingham Trent University and the opportunity to participate in the Cambridge TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test), which assesses their knowledge of subject-specific teaching methodology. The certificate will open doors to new opportunities for the teachers both locally and internationally.
