Uzbekistan plans to launch a scientific satellite in 2026 in cooperation with the member states of the Organization of Turkic States

At a press conference at the Agency of Information and Mass Communications, the head of the department of the Uzbekcosmos Agency, Mukhiddin Ibragimov, announced significant progress in creating infrastructure for working with space monitoring data.

Currently, a satellite data processing market has been formed in Uzbekistan, covering from 600,000 to 1 million square kilometers.

Within the framework of the project, a technological part of the satellite will be created, in the development of which Uzbek specialists will take part.

The launch is scheduled for mid-2026.

In addition, negotiations are underway with other countries to create a constellation of Earth remote sensing satellites.
