The results of the III International Internet Olympiad on Ecology announced in Turkmenistan

As reported by the official Turkmen press, the intellectual competition gathered students from higher educational institutions from Turkmenistan, as well as from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, the United States, Belarus, China, and others. Among them were students from the Chuvash State Pedagogical University named after I.Y. Yakovlev, the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba, Tashkent State Agrarian University, the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers," the Industrial Chemical-Technology Polytechnic Institute of Indonesia, the Belarusian State Agricultural Technical University, and the Mianwali University (Pakistan).
Participants completed tasks in the areas of population and biosphere ecology, human ecology and current environmental issues, industrial ecology, environmental monitoring, environmental legislation, and international organizations. They were given one and a half hours to complete the tasks.
According to the source, more than thirty students from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan were awarded first-degree diplomas. Around fifty participants received second-degree diplomas, and more than eighty students were awarded third-degree diplomas.
Among Turkmenistan's higher educational institutions, the best results were achieved by students from Turkmen State University named after Magtumguly, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, Turkmen Agricultural Institute, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryyev, and others.
