On March 22, a nationwide tree planting campaign was held in Turkmenistan with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The Chairman of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and representatives of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries, industry departments, diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations, as well as the general public, actively participated in this celebration.

The nationwide tree planting campaign contributes to the formation of an environmental culture in society. Comprehensive reforms implemented in the economic and social spheres are inextricably linked with environmental issues, since they are an important condition for the prosperous life of the people.

Turkmenistan pays great attention to the expansion of forest areas and the preservation of natural biodiversity. In this context, within the framework of the "Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052" and the "Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2028", large-scale measures are being implemented to create a clean ecological environment.
