Oriented on making people closer

On March 21, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan) took part in the celebration of the spring holiday of Novruz in Kazan.

The celebration took place in the Khan's Court on the territory of the Kazan Hippodrome. On behalf of the Rais of Tatarstan, the parliament and the Government of the republic, Chairman of the State Council, Chairman of the Council of the Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin greeted the guests and participants of the festive Maidan.

This year, Turkmenistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Tatarstan presented their national culture at the citywide holiday. At each site, guests could get acquainted with the national dances and songs of these peoples, as well as taste dishes of their national cuisine.

The Turkmen site featured bright handmade carpets, national clothes, jewelry and souvenirs, including books by the Esteemed Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The main festive treat of Novruz has traditionally become national dishes - pilaf, prepared according to the recipes of different Turkic peoples. The festival also included the competitions "Nauruz guzele" and "Nauruz batyry", in which Turkmen students took an active part. In addition, a prize was established for the author of the most delicious pilaf prepared at the festival.

The organizers of "Novruz-2025" were the Assembly of Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan and the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan and the Executive Committee of the city of Kazan.
