Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kajir said that Turkish contractors are already actively implementing projects in Turkmenistan, and the cost of their projects has exceeded the $50 billion mark. The official said this on October 26, speaking at the Turkmen-Turkish business forum, which is being held as part of the visit of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhammedov to Ankara.

Kajir said that Turkish companies have assumed responsibility for more than 1,000 projects in Turkmenistan. "We hope that they will continue to contribute to the implementation of new projects in Turkmenistan, especially in the city of Arkadag," the official concluded.

In addition, the Minister made a call to increase the volume of trade and investment between Turkey and Turkmenistan.

Kajir noted that the Presidents of Turkey and Turkmenistan, acting in accordance with a common goal, seek to increase the volume of trade between the two countries to $ 5 billion. He invited Turkmen companies to invest more in Turkey and use the opportunities offered by the Turkish side.
