Oriented on making people closer

On January 24th, consultations on consular matters took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between representatives of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and India. The negotiations were attended by the heads of relevant departments, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the consultations, pressing issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere were examined. Proposals for the exchange of experience between the consular services of Turkmenistan and India were discussed, as well as prospects for the implementation of joint projects and initiatives.

An exchange of views took place regarding the development of interaction between the consular services of the two countries. In this regard, both sides emphasized the importance of holding regular bilateral consultations on consular issues between the foreign ministries of the two countries to further intensify cooperation and study best practices.

Particular attention was paid to intensifying efforts to improve and update the legal framework.

The parties reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen the partnership across the entire spectrum of issues.
