23.01.2025 | 15:50 |Ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival , the traditional Chinese New Year, more than 100 students from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and other countries and regions studying at Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University experienced Chinese culture in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province. During the tour, the students visited the Qin and Han Dynasty Museum, where they got a panoramic view of Chinese civilization during the Qin and Han Dynasties, Xinhua reported . The museum is affiliated with the Shaanxi History Museum.
In the industrial park of Xi'an Aiju Grain and Oil Industry Company , students made traditional Chinese steamed buns " huamo " for the festive table with their own hands using flour produced from Kazakh wheat. The company said that freight trains running along the China-Europe (China-Central Asia) international railway routes brought into the country various goods that are in demand among Chinese buyers.
The events allowed foreign students to personally participate in cultural interaction and learn more about Chinese culture. Xi'an is one of the oldest cities in the world, which arose more than 3000 years BC and survived 13 imperial dynasties as the capital of Ancient China. In the past, Xi'an and Merv in Central Asia were connected by the Great Silk Road, and today, Turkmenistan's Mary is a sister city of Xi'an.
