High-speed train launched, significantly reducing travel time between Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Etihad Rail has announced the launch of a new high-speed train that will significantly reduce travel time between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The journey from the capital of the UAE to the country's largest city will now take only 30 minutes, a considerable improvement compared to current modes of transportation such as car or bus. The trains will travel at speeds of up to 200 km/h and will be able to carry up to 400 passengers per trip. This will not only improve transport accessibility but also reduce environmental pollution. The high-speed train will pass through six stations: Reem Island, Saadiyat, Yas Island, and Abu Dhabi International Airport, as well as near Al Maktoum International Airport and the Al Jaddaf area in Dubai.

It is expected that by 2030, more than 36 million people per year will use Etihad Rail's services, highlighting the growing interest in public transport in the region. Furthermore, the new railway network will connect 11 cities and regions of the UAE, including Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Fujairah, and Sharjah, making travel within the country more convenient and faster.
