Turkmen referee appointed to AFC Champions League Match
26.01.2025 | 14:10 |FIFA referee from Turkmenistan, Resul Mamedov, has been assigned to officiate the final group stage match of the AFC Champions League 2024-25, which will take place on February 17 between Persepolis (Iran) and Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia), according to the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
By decision of the Asian Football Confederation, Resul Mamedov will serve as the reserve referee for this match. The match will be officiated by a team of referees from Uzbekistan, led by FIFA referee Rustam Litfullin. Assisting him as assistant referees will be Sanzhar Shayusupov and Alisher Usmanov. The work of the officials will be evaluated by Jassim Mohammad Al-Hail (Qatar), and the match commissioner will be Chen Liang-Chen (Chinese Taipei).
33-year-old referee Resul Mamedov from Ashgabat is the son of the former renowned FIFA referee Mamed Mamedov. Resul Mamedov has been officiating international matches since 2023.
