On January 22, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an expanded meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan, a significant event dedicated to reviewing the performance of the country's military and law enforcement agencies in 2024.

According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the meeting summarized the results and outlined key objectives for these agencies in 2025. The Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense, B. Gundogdyev, along with the heads of law enforcement and security agencies, presented reports on the achievements of 2024.

The President noted the comprehensive efforts undertaken in 2024 to strengthen the army's capabilities and its material and technical resources.

Key priorities for 2025 include equipping the troops with modern equipment and training officers proficient in innovative technologies.

Concluding the meeting, the President congratulated the military personnel and law enforcement officers on the upcoming Day of Defenders of the Fatherland, emphasizing their crucial role in safeguarding the country's independence and sovereignty.
