For the first time, Georgian legends and epics will be “translated” into comics and animated films
18.08.2023 | 21:06 |"Chronicles of Iberia" has been started. The film company Ray11 is working on the project. As conceived by the authors, such a creative approach will be more understandable for Georgian youth and will introduce them to the rich epic of the country in an acceptable format, Sputnik reports.
Famous fairy tale and mythological heroes, as well as historical figures, are transformed into characters from comics, and stories about their adventures are depicted in bright and colorful drawings. The project involves professional screenwriters, artists and historians.
Specialists have already drawn the "Kingdoms of Ochopintre" and "Kopala", covering different parts of Georgia. These parts will also be included in the world of "Chronicles". New episodes of “The Chronicles of Iberia” will be released every two months.
In parallel, work is underway on the creation of animated films "Aluda Ketelauri" and "Saga of Iberia". The same characters from the comics will be transported and come to life in animation and will tell Georgian youth stories from ancient legends, ballads and myths of Georgia.
