Iran plans to export decorative flowers to Turkmenistan
20.05.2023 | 14:53 |More than 260 hectares of land have already been occupied for cutting decorative flowers in the northern Iranian province of Mazendaran. The local department of the Ministry of Agriculture plans to export these products to Turkmenistan, as well as Kazakhstan and Russia, the Tehran Times reports.
At the moment, according to the deputy head of the regional division of the agrocomplex Ehsan Abbaspur, Iran has great potential for exporting decorative flowers to the world market.
According to him, the republic ranks 17th in the world in the cultivation of flowers, but in their export — 107th place. The benefits not yet realized may amount to about $1 billion.
