Information Field of Central Asia: Navigation to Trust

In the modern world, where information is both a value and a challenge, trust is becoming a key resource. In the media space, this trust is built on mutual respect, open dialogue and willingness to rely on high-quality, original content.

The regional media space of Central Asia, against the backdrop of the consolidation of the region, is also gradually moving towards the formation of a common information field, where cooperation is acquiring new, valuable connections.

We are pleased that our contribution is becoming part of this important process. Two new examples: recently, two authoritative information and analytical resources at once - the Eurasia Today media group and the website of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISMI) - drew attention to ORIENT materials.

The Eurasia Today media group portal cited our article “CA – an exemplary model for overcoming the challenges of landlocked developing countries”, timing its selection to coincide with the Third UN Conference on LLDC3 in Avaza. And another analytical material – “Regional Identity of Central Asia: Historical Roots and Modern Challenges” – was published on the ISMI website on the eve of the VIII Central Asian Expert Forum in Tashkent.

Such examples of cooperation are a significant signal. They indicate that regional journalism (and publicism, by the way) strives for high-quality dialogue and partnership, since we have common tasks and similar ideas. We are looking for our voice, our expressiveness and our self-expression, our content. And our responsibility. After all, as the famous journalist Walter Cronkite said, “Journalism is not just a retelling of the news, it is the conscience of society.”

Trust in the information world is a bridge that can be crossed to visit each other as a neighbor over a raging sea of fakes, blatant provocations, impersonal copy-paste and "white noise".

We are confident that this approach is the basis for building a single and strong information space in Central Asia, where one's own view, mutual interest in each other and respect for the opinions of colleagues are valued.
