 Adipec oil and gas forum opens in Abu Dhabi, taking over from Ashgabat OGT

In less than three days, the Ashgabat oil and gas forum OGT-2022 ended, as Abu Dhabi took over the baton of the global energy dialogue, where on Monday, October 31, the international oil exhibition and conference – ADIPEC opened. Representatives of numerous companies in this sector continue to discuss topical issues and problems of the industry raised in Ashgabat.

First of all, it is an investment. According to the International Energy Forum (IEF), investment in oil and gas exploration and production must increase and be maintained at a near-pre-crisis level of $525 billion through 2030 to ensure market balance. Meanwhile, last year they fell for the second year in a row to $341 billion.

150,000 global energy leaders, policy makers, innovators and industry professionals are attending the forum in the UAE. More than 40 ministers from all over the world are expected to attend this year.

The exhibition features 2,200 companies and pavilions from 28 countries that offer thousands of products, services and solutions across the entire energy value chain.

Among the exhibitors of ADIPEC is the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan. Deputy Prime Minister in charge of fuel and energy issues in the Turkmen government, Shahym Abdrakhmanov, will take part in the ADIPEC Strategic and Technical Conferences.

High-level speakers will consider the role of hydrogen in meeting future energy needs, changes in the energy industry in the face of geopolitical transformation, decarburization, LNG market dynamics and other issues.

The International Oil Exhibition and Conference in Abu Dhabi will last until November 3rd. As both OGT and ADIPEC take place ahead of the UN climate conference Cop27 in Egypt, this year's focus is on decarbonization and clean forms of energy, innovative technologies aimed at achieving zero emissions, with a focus on methane and carbon capture technologies.
