From 2025, people will be able to fly into space in balloons
27.10.2022 | 14:55 |Spanish company Halo Space is preparing to launch zero-emission space flights in a round capsule attached to an inflated balloon. The first test flight will take place in December at the Tata Institute for Basic Research in Hyderabad, India, reports News Beezer.
During each flight, the capsule will carry eight passengers and one pilot, rising to a height of 40 kilometers. It is also known that the capsule will have panoramic windows that open a 360-degree view of the Earth.
After the successful completion of the tests, the company plans to start commercial flights in 2025, and then establish flight bases on four continents.
From 2029, 400 flights will be operated annually with a total of 3 thousand passengers, and ticket prices will vary from 100 thousand to 200 thousand euros.
Halo Space says pressurized balloon capsules rise without releasing CO2 and will be the most eco-friendly way to travel into space.
