 Gazpromneft welcomes Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries as a customer of new refining catalysts

Speaking at the final session of the 26th International Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan", dedicated to modern achievements and know-how in research and development, Alexander Zaitsev, Deputy General Director for Commercial Affairs and Development of Gazpromneft LLC, spoke about the company's implementation of an innovative project in the field of catalytic systems, in particular, the launch of a unique center for the development of catalyst technologies and the construction of a refinery catalyst plant.

Gazpromneft has many years of experience in the production and operation of catalysts, and there is a modern base for their development. The company's catalysts are successfully used at oil refineries in Russia. In 2018-2020, a full cycle of tests of its own hydrotreating catalyst was developed and successfully completed.

The use of catalysts contributes to the maximum output of the target products and the minimum number of by-products, and also allows to achieve high technical and economic indicators of the process.

Zaitsev noted that he welcomes the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries as a major customer.

In the oil industry, catalysts are used for the deep processing of hydrocarbons, the production of motor fuels and petrochemical products.

The changing petrochemical market forces us to introduce new technological processes, develop new catalysts and integrate processes in the field of refining and petrochemistry in order to gain more benefits from a wide range of raw materials.

The list of products manufactured by Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries includes various brands of gasoline, kerosene, liquefied gas, diesel fuel, bitumen, coke and polymer products. Products of Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries are exported to the countries of Western Europe and the Middle East.
