17.10.2025 | 20:40 |On October 10, a large-scale international forum dedicated to neutrality as a strategic approach in the face of modern global challenges was held at the UN Headquarters in Geneva.
The event was organized by the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office at Geneva jointly with the Geneva Center for Neutrality (GCN) and the Greater Caspian Association (GCA).
The forum became a significant platform for discussing the principles of sustainability and trust, bringing together over 300 participants. Among them were diplomats, politicians, representatives of international organizations, as well as academics, media outlets, and students from local universities.
Tatyana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, served as the forum's keynote speaker, underscoring the high status and relevance of the agenda.
The forum's program included three thematic sessions that demonstrated the expansion of the traditional concept of neutrality:
Diplomatic approaches to maintaining stability and trust in the modern world.
The economic dimension of neutrality—a discussion of its role in creating a favorable investment climate.
Neutrality and technology—experts examined the regulation of artificial intelligence and digital security in the context of neutrality.
Forum participants unanimously emphasized that in the 21st century, neutrality is becoming an increasingly important tool for sustainable development, international dialogue, and trust-building.
