 Book Lovers’ Contest “Books – The Key to Success” Held in Balkanabat

On September 14, a contest for reading enthusiasts titled “Books – The Key to Success” was held in Balkanabat. The event, organized by the educational center Kämil bilim, brought together about 300 book lovers from the western region of the country. The competition was aimed at raising the educational level of the young generation, developing memory, and encouraging reading.

Participants completed test assignments based on the works of Turkmen authors Rahmet Gylyjov (“Halallyk kyssalary” / Stories of Honesty) and Komek Kuliev (“Ömür kerweni” / The Caravan of Life). The contest conditions had been published in advance on the educational center’s social media pages.

According to the results, the prize-winning places were awarded as follows:

1st place: Hatyja Nurberdiyeva – teacher of Turkmen language and literature at Specialized Secondary School No. 22 of Balkanabat city.

2nd place: Aziza Gulamova – student of the same school.

3rd place: Nurjemal Niyazmyradova – student of Secondary School No. 8 of Esenguly district.

The winners received commemorative gifts and were granted discounts for studying at the educational center. The contest was organized by the Main Department of Education of Balkan velayat and the Balkanabat branch of the Kämil bilim educational center.

At the award ceremony, the importance of reading for the all-round development of personality, especially for young people, was emphasized. It was also noted that in the book of Hero-Arkadag “The Continuation of the Meaning of My Life”, the significance of reading for enriching a person’s spiritual world and for cultural and intellectual development is comprehensively highlighted.
