New Korean and Japanese Language Textbooks Published in Turkmenistan

Two new textbooks for 9th grade students of general education schools have been published in Turkmenistan: “Korean Language” and “Japanese Language”. Their publication is part of large-scale efforts to modernize foreign language teaching in the country and to integrate digital technologies into the educational process.

Both textbooks, developed in line with modern requirements, share a number of common features. They include audio recordings for texts and glossaries, helping students improve their listening comprehension and speaking skills.

The Korean language textbook (authors: D. Soyunnazarova, M. Mammedova) contains engaging exercises, poems, proverbs, riddles, and is illustrated with colorful pictures.

The Japanese language textbook (authors: H. Ito, N. Katsu, A. Taganova) consists of eight chapters on various topics, including family, society, and culture, and features a bilingual glossary at the end. Both textbooks aim to increase students’ interest in learning foreign languages and to ensure high-quality education.

The publication of these new textbooks is an important step in fulfilling the objectives set by the Esteemed President. Improving foreign language teaching and integrating digital technologies are considered one of the fundamental foundations for the country’s future development.
