A New Large Carbamide Production Complex will be Built in Western Turkmenistan.
21.09.2025 | 00:12 |As part of his strategic commitment to significantly increasing the country's export potential, the President of Turkmenistan signed a decree launching the construction of one of the country's largest industrial facilities. The document authorizes the State Concern Turkmenhimiya to enter into a contract for the construction of a new carbamide production complex.
The key partners in this large-scale project are the Japanese company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and the Turkish company Gap Inşaat Yatirim ve Diş Tiсaret Anonim Şirketi. Together, they will design and build a modern complex in the Turkmenbashi etrap in the Balkan velayat, with a production capacity of 1,155,000 tons of carbamide per year.
The creation of such an industrial giant is of paramount importance. It will not only strengthen Turkmenistan's chemical industry but also significantly increase export volumes, thereby contributing to economic growth. The participation of leading global companies demonstrates the high level of international confidence in the country's investment climate and its reliability as a business partner.
According to the document, construction will begin in July 2026, with the complex scheduled for commissioning in February 2030. This ambitious project will mark a significant milestone in Turkmenistan's industrial development.
