 Rashid Meredov met with Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad in Doha on September 14. The conversation took place as part of a preparatory meeting of ministers for the emergency Arab-Islamic summit, which will be held in Doha on Monday.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen it, as well as a number of topics of mutual interest, the Qatari news agency QNA reports.

The preparatory meeting of foreign ministers for the emergency Arab-Islamic summit was held on Sunday under chairmanship of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. The event was attended by foreign ministers of the member states of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Leaders of Arab and Islamic countries are gathering in Doha to discuss an official response to Israel's strikes on the capital of Qatar, Al Jazeera reports. "The event will be attended by leaders of 57 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and 22 member countries of the Arab League," the channel reported.

It is specified that information has been confirmed that the summit will be attended by the presidents of Turkey and Iran, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Masoud Pezeshkian, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan issued a statement condemning Israel's strikes on a residential area in Doha.
