Oriented on making people closer

On September 13, the XXVI conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World was held in Ashgabat, in the building of the Public Organization of Turkmenistan. The forum, organized on the eve of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the 34th anniversary of Independence, brought together representatives of the Turkmen diaspora from various countries of the world, as well as members of the association from all regions of the country.

The development of cultural and humanitarian ties with the diaspora abroad is one of the priority directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. Members of the association abroad regularly hold events to promote the national culture, traditions, history, and language of the Turkmen people. The conference served as a platform for discussing the further expansion of cooperation.

As part of the forum, an exhibition of works by the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan was organized for participants. The exposition presented national treasures of fine and decorative-applied arts, providing extensive information about the history and culture of the Turkmen people.
