On September 9, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic held a round table in Bishkek. The event was dedicated to the proclamation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust,” as well as to the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. Turkmen students studying in Bishkek and citizens of Turkmenistan took part in the event.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to Turkmenistan’s foreign policy strategy, which is based on the principles of peaceableness, good neighborliness, and mutual respect. It was emphasized that this policy, carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and continuing the constructive endeavors of Hero-Arkadag, relies on the legal status of Permanent Neutrality, which has been recognized three times by the international community.

Special attention was paid to the state visits of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

His contribution helps to strengthen trust and foster constructive partnership in the international arena. The participants stressed that the proclamation of the “International Year of Peace and Trust” symbolizes the special mission of Turkmenistan, which, through its peace-oriented course, contributes to global understanding and sustainable development.

At the end of the event, a video about Turkmenistan was shown, demonstrating the country’s achievements and its contribution to strengthening international peace.
