Oriented on making people closer

The YOUTHx Festival, dedicated to International Youth Day, took place in Ashgabat on August 12. Organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan in partnership with Creative Corner and Ynamly Kepil, the event brought together young people from across the capital for a rich day of learning, dialogue, and sharing experiences.

The festival focused on empowering young people in the digital age. It provided young people with a platform to develop key skills such as communication, leadership, and project management. A series of interactive workshops led by local trainers and experts covered such relevant topics as public speaking, digital etiquette, teamwork, goal setting, and decision making.

Particular attention was paid to the development of youth initiatives. The festival included a pitching circle, where participants presented their ideas and received feedback from mentors and peers. Many proposals touched on important social issues, from environmental sustainability to inclusiveness. In the final, the most active participants and authors of the most promising ideas were awarded certificates.

Support for youth and development of human capital remain key priorities for the EU-Turkmenistan cooperation. The EU Delegation continues to work closely with local partners to create inclusive platforms for dialogue, learning and exchange of experience.
