Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev held an important meeting with Director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) Mikhail Fradkov in Moscow. During the talks, which took place on July 11, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of topical issues related to Turkmen-Russian relations.

This meeting underscores the mutual desire of Moscow and Ashgabat to deepen their strategic partnership. Particular attention was paid to the development of dialogue at the level of expert and analytical centers of both countries, which demonstrates the desire for a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of common interests and prospects.

Mikhail Fradkov is a renowned Russian statesman and diplomat. Before his appointment as Director of RISS in 2016, he held a number of high-ranking positions, including Prime Minister of the Russian Federation (2004–2007) and Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (2007–2016). His extensive experience in high politics and diplomacy lends special weight to the meetings he attends.

The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) is one of the leading research centers in Russia, specializing in the analysis of international relations, foreign policy, and national security. The Institute actively interacts with government agencies, providing expert assessments and forecasts. Meetings of representatives of the diplomatic corps with the RISS leadership often serve as a platform for sounding out positions, exchanging strategic visions, and finding common ground on current issues on the global agenda and bilateral relations.

Thus, the meeting of Ambassador Aidogdyev with Mikhail Fradkov within the walls of RISS is a significant event, confirming the high level of trust and interest in continuing fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia at all levels.
