The Visit of the Vice President of the European Investment Bank to Avaza will Lay the Foundation for a New Stage of Dialogue

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the European Union Sapar Palvanov received a delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB) led by David Monguzzi, Senior Credit Specialist for the Asian Region.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation, paying special attention to building and improving the legal framework for the partnership, including signing framework agreements that will provide a sustainable basis for long-term cooperation. Ambassador Palvanov emphasized Turkmenistan's strategic interest in developing ties with the EIB, noting that such a partnership contributes to the implementation of national priorities in the field of sustainable economic growth, infrastructure development, green energy and digital solutions.
The meeting participants confirmed their intention to intensify cooperation in preparing specific investment projects and expressed their readiness to develop relevant memorandums of cooperation. EIB representatives, for their part, particularly emphasized their commitment to dialogue and interest in moving to the practical phase of interaction, which is a clear signal of the Bank's serious intentions.
A key event confirming the dynamics of this partnership will be the upcoming visit of Vice President of the European Investment Bank Kariakos Kokorius to Turkmenistan in August 2025. He will take part in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which will be held in Avaza.
The parties expressed their firm readiness to use this authoritative international platform for organizing bilateral meetings and deepening partnership, which opens up new prospects for major joint initiatives.
