Oriented on making people closer

The important harvest season has started in Turkmenistan, and on June 11, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov personally arrived at the fields of the Magtymguly Peasant Association of the Ak Bugday Etrap of the Akhal Velayat to get acquainted with the organization of the grain harvest. This trip emphasized the constant attention of the head of state to the development of the agro-industrial complex and the well-being of the Turkmen farmer.

Early in the morning, the head of state arrived at the wheat fields, where the leaders of the country's agro-industrial complex were already waiting for him. Following the agricultural tradition, the farmer, representing the tenant farmers, asked the President to give a blessing for the grain harvest. In response, the head of state symbolically cut a sheaf of ripe wheat ears, thus officially starting the harvest of a rich harvest.

Following this signal, powerful modern equipment from such world-famous companies as John Deere and Claas entered the fields. These combines, fully compliant with the soil and climate conditions of Turkmenistan and equipped with advanced telematics equipment, are capable of ensuring prompt and loss-free harvesting around the clock.

While watching the machines brought into operation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave the Deputy Prime Minister a number of instructions to ensure high quality harvesting and timely delivery of grain, placing particular emphasis on the most efficient use of all acquired high-performance equipment.

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers reported to the head of state that last week, mowing began in the Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats, and today the harvesting campaign began in the Balkan and Dashoguz velayats, which indicates a high level of preparation for the harvest. The President of the country emphasized the importance of establishing effective operations of all enterprises subordinate to agriculture, including elevators, processing plants and water management facilities, as well as timely payments to farmers for the harvested crop.

The special pride of Turkmen agriculture is the new high-yielding varieties of wheat, such as "Arkadag", "Serdar" and "Fragi", which have been successfully sown in the country's fields. These varieties are characterized by large grains and low need for irrigation, which emphasizes their increased usefulness and contribution to improving the efficiency of agriculture.

As part of the working trip, the head of state got acquainted with the exhibition deployed on site, which presented an abundance of fruit and vegetable products, samples of grain crops and fresh baked goods made from the grain of the new harvest. The President also carefully examined the new agricultural machinery that recently came into the hands of rural workers, which is further evidence of the systemic support for the agricultural sector.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov inquired about the daily work of the local tenant farmer, learned about the area of land he leases, its fertility and conditions for profitable activity. The head of state reaffirmed that the state will always take care of farmers, guaranteeing remuneration for their conscientious work and creating the most favorable conditions for obtaining generous harvests, a decent life and fruitful work.

Highly appreciating the noble work of Turkmen farmers, the President emphasized that their diligent efforts are a reliable basis for food abundance in the country, and the state guarantees constant support for farmers. In 2025, the country's grain growers intend to collect 1 million 400 thousand tons of food wheat from 690 thousand hectares of land.
