 An International Forum on Vocational Education Held in Denmark

From September 8 to 11, the Fourth Forum on Vocational Excellence took place in the cities of Kolding and Copenhagen, Denmark. The event was organized by the European Training Foundation (ETF) in cooperation with key Danish partners. It brought together more than 400 participants from 43 countries, including leaders of vocational education, digitalization experts, business representatives, and the student community.

The Forum focused on issues of digitalization, the introduction of innovations, and ensuring high-quality training of specialists in the context of the global green and digital transition. Participants discussed the role of Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) as drivers of modernization of education systems and the development of international cooperation.

The program included plenary sessions, thematic discussions, workshops, and large-scale study visits. Participants visited leading Danish educational institutions and enterprises in offshore energy, climate, responsible agriculture, and digital innovations, as well as the EuroSkills 2025 championship. A significant contribution was made by the DIGI ENE digital excellence network and the DARYA project team, ensuring a practice-oriented nature of the discussions and exchange of experience.

The delegation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan took part in the event, which became an important confirmation of the country’s commitment to active international cooperation in the field of vocational education.

The Forum proved to be an effective platform for sharing experiences and establishing new partnerships aimed at preparing young professionals for future challenges and strengthening the role of education in ensuring sustainable development.
