A meeting has taken place in Geneva, further underscoring the growing interest of the international community in Turkmenistan. The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Vepa Hajiyev, held discussions with the renowned Swiss documentary filmmaker and head of the film company "Climage" Stéphane Goël.

The central theme of the discussion focused on prospects for cooperation in the field of documentary cinema. Particular attention was paid to plans for filming reports dedicated to the significant date of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, which will be commemorated on December 12th of this year. It is anticipated that the filmed material will form the basis of a documentary film aimed at a European audience.

Such a film has the potential to serve as a window through which European viewers can gain an insight into modern Turkmenistan, becoming acquainted with its philosophy of neutrality and its achievements.

Stéphane Goël expressed his readiness to personally visit Turkmenistan to directly prepare for filming and to gain a deeper understanding of the concept of permanent neutrality, which plays a significant role in the country's international policy.
