 The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has announced the selection process for studies in higher education institutions in China

The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan announces the selection of candidates for higher professional education (Bachelor's degree) programs for the 2025/2026 academic year at higher education institutions in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China.

From May 12 to May 21, 2025, the admission of documents from citizens of Turkmenistan who have reached the age of 18 and are no older than 25 as of August 31, 2025, possessing general secondary, secondary vocational education, and proficiency in English, will be conducted at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University for admission to higher education institutions in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China.

Information regarding the list of specialties, the number of places available for higher professional education programs in the higher education institutions of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, as well as the terms and conditions of study, is provided by the admissions committee.

List of Required Documents:

– Application form (standard format)

– Recommendation letter from the last place of study or employment (military unit)

– Twelve photographs (3x4 cm)

– A written statement confirming that the applicant has not previously studied or received a state scholarship in higher education institutions of the People's Republic of China at the corresponding level of education.

– Original Academic Assessment Certificates: SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), and HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), or a certificate of English language proficiency at the Upper-Intermediate level or higher, issued by educational centers within the country (applicants holding a certificate of successful completion of one of the academic assessment tests will have an advantage in the admission process).

– Priority for enrollment in higher education institutions will also be given to winners of national subject Olympiads among schoolchildren, participants of international Olympiads and competitions in general education subjects, and it is also necessary to provide original certificates of completion of additional courses (if any) issued by competent educational institutions within the country.

– Original document of general secondary education, secondary vocational education, or higher professional education. If the applicant is currently studying in the final year of secondary school, a certified copy of the academic transcript (with grades indicating academic performance) must be provided. If the education document was issued in a foreign country, it must be accompanied by a certificate of its recognition in Turkmenistan.

– Original diploma supplement (copy of the examination record, transcript, and its certified translation). – Certificate confirming completion of a Chinese language course or studies in the Chinese language (if available).

– Health certificate according to the form established by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan (health certificate for citizens entering higher education institutions outside of Turkmenistan).

In addition to the aforementioned documents, applicants wishing to enroll in a higher education institution must also submit copies of the following documents to the admissions committee:

– Passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan and passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan for travel abroad and entry into Turkmenistan.

– Military ID card for those who have completed military service in the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan and registration certificate for young men who have not completed military service (copy of the certificate and a reference from the military commissariat at the place of residence). Translations of documents must be provided in English.

If necessary, the admissions committee has the right to request additional information about the applicant. The applicant bears personal responsibility for any incorrect or false information, as well as for the submission of forged documents.

On May 24, 2025, the Magtymguly Turkmen State University will hold an interview with candidates who have high scores based on the submitted documents. The interview will be conducted on the program of general education subjects.
