Significant business growth reported at Asia's largest flower market in 2024

Flower trade volume increased by 5% compared to the previous year, reaching 14.18 billion stems. The market's transaction value totaled 11.57 billion yuan (approximately 1.61 billion US dollars). This market has maintained its leading position in China for 25 consecutive years, both in terms of flower transaction volume and value.
Dounan also ranks as the world's second-largest hub for cut flower trade, supplying both domestic and international markets across more than 50 countries and regions.
The development of the flower industry in Dounan began in 1983, and the market has since expanded significantly to become the largest in Asia. Currently, approximately 70% of China's cut flowers originate from this region.
It is projected that the sales volume of the country's flower industry will reach 300 billion yuan by 2025 and exceed 700 billion yuan by 2035, underscoring China's growing role in the global flower market.
