Turkmen Chamber of Commerce Delegation Attends Second Turkmenistan–UAE Business Forum in Sharjah
11.10.2025 | 17:10 |A delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, led by Chairman Mergen Gurdov, took part in the second Turkmenistan–UAE Business Forum held at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in early October.
The event was jointly organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with support from the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the UAE and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The forum brought together representatives of government agencies and the private sectors of both countries.
In his remarks, Gurdov said that a constructive dialogue at the highest political level has strengthened trade and economic ties between Turkmenistan and the UAE. He emphasized Turkmenistan’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economy and create favorable conditions for foreign investment.
Sharjah Chamber Chairman Abdullah Sultan Al Owais praised the high level of cooperation between the two countries and expressed readiness to support Turkmen companies seeking to enter regional markets and expand partnerships with local businesses.
Officials from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade presented an overview of the country’s investment climate and competitive advantages. Turkmen entrepreneurs showcased projects highlighting the potential of the national economy in sectors such as industry, agriculture, energy, and logistics.
An exhibition featuring Turkmen products, including food items, textiles, and construction materials, was also held during the event.
As part of the visit, the Turkmen delegation held bilateral meetings with representatives of the UAE private sector and toured Sharjah’s permanent industrial exhibition to learn about local enterprises and trends in the country’s manufacturing sector.
