Turkmen citizens can apply for OSCE scholarship program on peace and security

Citizens of participating states of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), including Turkmenistan, as well as Partners for Co-operation are eligible for participation in the Peace and Security Scholarship Program, specializing in conflict prevention and resolution measures.

The OSCE Peace and Security Scholarship Program aims to empower young professionals, engage them in the security sector, and support the development of their professional networks and career opportunities.

Participants will gain skills in negotiation and enhance their knowledge of conflict prevention tools within the OSCE region.

Selected participants will undertake a six-week online course, hosted on the OSCE's e-learning platform, covering conflict prevention and resolution, arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation in the OSCE region. The online course will run from April 7 to May 18, 2025, and will not conflict with their full-time/part-time studies and/or work commitments.

Participants who successfully complete the online course will be invited to an in-person event, tentatively scheduled for Vienna in Autumn 2025. The in-person event will include a seminar on negotiation and mediation, briefings by representatives of international organizations in Vienna, discussions with experts, and field trips.

Participation in the program is free of charge. Expenses for the full-time event will be covered by the Organization.

Applications are open to young individuals aged 22 to 32, who hold at least a Bachelor's degree.

The application deadline is February 28, 13:00 (Central European Time, Vienna).
