Oriented on making people closer

In honor of the announcement of 2025 in Turkmenistan as the "International Year of Peace and Trust", the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov published an article in one of the leading Arab newspapers "Al Sharq".

In the article, the diplomat emphasizes the importance of the status of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, which was twice recognized by the United Nations. The neutral status has become a clear evidence of the peace-loving policy of the Turkmen people.

At the initiative of Turkmenistan, the UN General Assembly declared 2025 the "Year of International Peace and Trust". This once again demonstrated the trust of the world community in our country, strengthens the reputation of Turkmenistan as a leader in strengthening international cooperation.

Moreover, December 12 was declared the International Day of Neutrality by the UN General Assembly.

Following the principles of neutrality and adhering to the scientific and philosophical approach "Dialogue is the key to peace", Turkmenistan makes a great contribution to the development of international relations, to ensuring global and regional security.

In 2024, Turkmenistan celebrated the 29th anniversary of Permanent Neutrality. On the occasion of this significant date, an international forum was organized in the country with the participation of delegates from different countries of the world. As follows from the ambassador's material, the event was also attended by the Director of the Institute of Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al-Horr. This clearly shows that new horizons are opening up for the development of Turkmen-Qatari relations.
