Oriented on making people closer

This year, PETRONAS celebrates its 50th anniversary and continues its journey of inspiring others to be “Committed to Progress”. On August 30, 2024, during the celebration of the company’s 50th anniversary in Ashgabat, Mr. Ismadi Bin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd (PC(T)SB), announced the launch of a social program to make a cherished wish of one of the residents of Turkmenistan come true.

The goal of the Festive Dream program is to select a genuine and unique dream among the population and support the person in various ways to achieve progress in life. The initiative is aimed at supporting talented and determined Turkmen citizens, implementing the principle of corporate social responsibility and demonstrating the company's commitment to the development of local communities.

After the announcement, the PC(T)SB team immediately took action, meeting with members of public organizations in the Turkmenbashi etrap of the Balkan velayat, as well as Ashgabat. Among the numerous applications, the team selected several in accordance with the criteria and submitted them to the Commission for approval at the PETRONAS head office. As a result, two applications were put forward: Allanazar Myradov's dream - "Strengthening Hidden Voices" and Artykmukhammet Artykov's dream - "Breaking Barriers with Music".

Allanazar, a visually impaired person, is the head of the Society of the Blind and Deaf in Turkmenbashi, heading the organization for many years. His dream is to organize leisure activities for disabled members of this society, namely, to create an opportunity for them to sing and record their works. For these purposes, he organized a special room - a “studio” on the territory of the Society, and with a request for the purchase of the necessary computer and sound recording equipment, he contacted the company “PC(T)SB” within the framework of the Program.

Artykmukhammet, a visually impaired person, has had a great passion for music since childhood, learned to play the accordion, and then the rhythm block (synthesizer). He is actively invited to various events by fellow villagers and residents of the region, where he performs national melodies and songs. Unfortunately, due to the impossibility of purchasing professional musical instruments at his own expense, up to this point, he was forced to decline many invitations. His dream is to be able to apply his talents in practice, perform compositions and create an atmosphere at various celebrations of his friends and acquaintances. To fulfill his dream, he also turned to the company "PCh(T)SB".

And so, on the eve of the New Year, on December 30, the management of the company "PC(T)SB" headed by the CEO Mr. Ismadi Bin Ismail invited the winners of the competition to their office and presented them with such desired gifts.

Mr. Ismadi Bin Ismail emphasized the importance of humanitarian values, mutual assistance and good deeds, noting that the company "PC(T)SB" strives to contribute to improving the lives of people in Turkmenistan. Allanazar and Artykmukhammet expressed gratitude to the company for social projects and congratulated it on its anniversary, wishing it further success. At the end of the event, the participants took a joint photo.
