 Turkmenistan and the Republic of Estonia intend to continue mutually beneficial cooperation

On August 5, 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Affairs and Development of the Republic of Estonia Mariin Ratnik at the Berkarar Hotel of the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

During the meeting, the parties assessed the current situation and prospects for the development of relations between Turkmenistan and Estonia in areas of mutual interest.

The interaction within international structures, in particular the UN and the EU, was discussed. The Estonian side emphasized the importance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

Interest was expressed in promoting trade and economic ties, in particular in the area of digitalization.

In addition, the diplomats exchanged views on regional and international issues. The meeting emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan's peaceful neutral policy. In this context, preparations for the International Forum of Peace and Trust, scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in December of this year, were noted.
