The Human Being as the Highest Value is at the Center of Medical Diplomacy

The Turkmen policy is based on the principle “The State is for the Human Being!” This motto defines both the domestic and foreign policy of the country. The President emphasized that the state is focused on unleashing the potential of the individual, ensuring high social standards and quality of life. The bulk of the country's budget is allocated to the implementation of social programs, including housing construction, support for healthcare, education, and the protection of citizens' rights.

In this context, President Berdimuhamedov put forward the first of several key initiatives: “Global Medicine of the Future -Solidarity and Cooperation.” He noted that the pandemic and other global challenges have shown how important solidarity and mutual support are in the healthcare sector. The lack of access to the sea is a serious obstacle to the supply of medicines, so Turkmenistan is ready to share its experience and create systemic mechanisms for medical diplomacy under the auspices of the UN.

Transport, Ecology and New Energy

The President's speech demonstrated Turkmenistan's commitment to solving global problems through innovation and partnership. He invited participants to consider the following initiatives aimed at accelerating the integration of LLDC countries into the global system:

Global atlas of sustainable transport connectivity: This initiative, previously launched at the World Government Forum in Dubai, aims to give new impetus to transport cooperation. It builds on the success of six UN General Assembly resolutions initiated by Turkmenistan and aims to integrate LLDC into global transport flows.

Global program for the transition to hydrogen energy for 2030–2040: Noting that “green energy” is a fundamental criterion, the President proposed creating a clear algorithm and joint plans for the development of hydrogen energy, inviting discussion of this program within the UN as early as next year.

Global framework for the circular economy: This initiative aims to align all economic activity with environmental standards so that the production sector becomes" an ally and supporter of nature."

He emphasized interaction on the water track as a key component of global processes, where Turkmenistan has always firmly and consistently advocated for equal and fair access to water.

Neutrality as a philosophy of development and trust

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov recalled that, at the suggestion of Turkmenistan, the UN General Assembly declared 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust. He emphasized that peace, trust and neutrality are inextricably linked concepts that define the philosophy of Turkmenistan's foreign policy and its strategic partnership with the UN.

In conclusion, the President expressed confidence that joint work, carried out in the spirit of creation and equality, will allow us to achieve the set goals of development, progress and well-being for all.
